Seeing to Others’ Needs

Jesus explained His return in Judgment as follows: “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.  All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.  And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left” (Mt. 25:31-33).

Where will you be in that great day?  Will you be on the right or the left?  Among the sheep or the goats?  The choice is yours.

Jesus goes on to explain that those on the right will be those who have been mindful of others.  Do you help give food to the hungry?  Do you give drink to those who thirst?  Do you take in strangers?  Do you help clothe the naked?  Do you visit the sick?  Do you go to those imprisoned?  (See vs. 34-36).

Rather than being concerned about a specific checklist of six things, the point is this: Ours must be a life of ministering to others needs.  Such is a true demonstration of “faith working through love” (Gal. 5:6).

May we all become better at seeing to others’ needs!
